A 3-hour planning session to include:

Creating a high-level plan.

Before we start, lets understand your vision and goals.

We will start by capturing a list of all your ideas, everything that you would like to do.

We will then prioritise them, giving them an indicative date, based on what you need completing first.

We can review dates at the end of the process, to make sure that they are achievable.

Establishing milestones and activities.

Starting with the highest priority deliverables, we can explore the key phases of work, these will be your milestones.

Milestones are made up of lots of activities, we will look at some of the key activities that need to be completed.

It’s important we make sure that we capture every milestone for each deliverable.

We will spend quite a lot of time here to establish all the detail.

You will start to see the scale of the work involved, though don’t let this put you off, we are here to help.

Clarify roles and responsibilities.

Once we have a plan, the next step is to explore who will be involved and what their responsibilities will be.

Having clear roles and responsibilities at the outset is critical for a projects success.

We will help you to think about this, it may just be you to begin with, though we can provide additional support if you need it.

Be realistic about what you can do yourself, as you may still have a full time job and you are managing your new business ‘from the side of your desk’.

You may need support from Subject Matter Experts (SME’s), we can help you source SME’s if they are required.

Final review and check.

Once we have completed the planning session, we will go away and double check to make sure:

    • No deliverables, milestones and activities been missed
    • All dates are achievable
    • Roles and responsibilities are clear

We will then send you your Project Plan for review and sign off, it’s important that you take time to make sure that all the information is correct.

If there are any amendments then these can be completed so that the Project Plan can be finalised.

Project manage the work.

We are sure that you will be juggling lots of different things which may include a full –time job whilst trying to get your business off the ground.

If so, don’t worry we can provide you with a dedicated Virtual Project Manager to ensure that everything is on track.

Your Virtual Project Manager will be able to manage your project plan and make sure activities are being completed.

If you need us to we can take a very active role in supporting our business owners to make things happen.

The benefit will be that you can have piece of mind that you are making progress and things are on track.

Escalate risks and issues.

With the experience of a qualified Virtual Project Manager, they will be able to manage any risks and issues.

The benefit to you is that you don’t need to worry, your Virtual Project Manager will raise them with you.

We will provide ideas to mitigate the risk/issues and flag if it impacts any activities.

Your Project Manager will manage your log of Risks and Issues on your behalf, reviewing and updating them regularly.

Complete weekly reporting.

Your Project Manager will complete and email a Weekly Update at the end of each week.

The purpose of the Weekly Update is to share with you an updated Project Plan & Risks and Issues Log.

Your Project Manager will confirm if activity is on track or at risk of going off track & why.

Any urgent issues will be flagged outside of this process via email.

As the Business Owner this ensure that you have full visibility and control at all times.
