Wendy Johnstone Ltd is owned and run by Wendy Johnstone who loves nothing more than building relationships with clients and working with them to achieve their business objectives.

Wendy’s background is as a PRINCE2 qualified Project Manager, having worked for Barclays for 12.5 years within Generalist HR and Learning and Development. It was at Barclays that Wendy realised the true extent of her capability, realising that she could do a lot more than just work for someone else. Put her in the right environment with the right support and she could truly blossom into a successful business owner.

Having worked on the Culture and Values Programme at Barclays under CEO Antony Jenkins, Wendy realised how important values where to her personally. It was this Programme that helped Wendy to build a values based company where authenticity, being genuine and flourishing was embraced.

Wendy has created an award winning business, which highlights the supportive culture for entrepreneurs in Hertfordshire. On many occasions in her corporate career, she was side-lined for being an introvert. Now Wendy has truly blossomed and enjoys speaking at events, telling her story and sharing her many success tips with others.

The business has grown around Wendy, very organically, although Wendy has never been a PA, her expertise as a Project Manager provided many transferrable skills. Wendy started as a Virtual Assistant though very quickly her clients started to ask her for strategic bespoke requests and requests to support businesses with managing their operation. It was at this point that Wendy identified a niche in the market, an opportunity which resulted in the birth of Virtual Operations. Wendy continues to offer Virtual Admin and Virtual Operations, with the service continuing to grow and evolve as it always has done.

Since being a little girl, Wendy has always loved cats and feels honoured to be known as the mad cat lady. Now running her own business Wendy has had the opportunity to give back to a number of deserving local cat charities. Coming up with novel ideas like reverse advent calendars, Wendy will stop an nothing to build a story for a press release in the local papers, not for her but to raise the profile of what a great job these cat charities do. Wendy has her own rescue cat Molly, who has her own chair back in the Wendy Johnstone Ltd office – she is nearly more important than Wendy!

In Wendy’s personal time she likes nothing better than to spend quality time with her husband in their 1959 Chevrolet pick-up truck, get her nose stuck into a good book and spend valuable time with her family who live in Rugby.
